What it does

Market-WIDE fear/greed sentiment, key-free: CNN Fear & Greed index with all 7 components (S&P momentum, 52w highs/lows strength, breadth, put/call, VIX vs 50d, junk-bond demand, safe-haven demand), the crypto Fear & Greed index (alternative.me), and a VIX read (spot, 1y percentile, VIX/VIX3M term structure). Use for 'how greedy/fearful is the market right now', regime context before sizing, and contrarian extremes. NOT for single-ticker sentiment (use x-search / reddit-search) and NOT for crypto positioning/funding (use crypto-derivs). Research context only — sentiment is never a buy/sell call.

  Crypto Fear & Greed index (alternative.me): current score/classification plus mean/min/max over a lookback window. Use for crypto market mood and contrarian extremes (below ~20 = extreme fear, above ~80 = extreme greed).

• sentiment__vix

  VIX read: spot level with a plain-english band (complacent/normal/elevated/stressed), 5-day change, 1-year percentile and range, plus the VIX/VIX3M term-structure ratio (backwardation = near-term stress, contango = normal). Key-free via Yahoo's public chart API.

How to connect

Market Sentiment is a no-auth skill — there's nothing to connect. Once TradeLoop is installed, your agent can call its tools immediately.
